Overview

As an analyst, you are responsible for questioning users and translating requirements to the development team. In this context, you work closely with the business (initiative owner, product owner, application manager), the program manager, and the development team you join.

Specifically, we are looking for a combined business/functional analyst to outline a vision and development trajectory with the business and then translate it into manageable pieces with the development team. You are critical, question things, dare to challenge the team, and are able to maintain an overview. You also take on the role of a proxy product owner within the development team.

You will be deployed in 2 strategic and complex domains where you will be gradually involved (both business-process-wise and functionally) and will master them.

On one hand, you support 'Kabelnet', the crucial application that manages all telecommunication cables of the Flemish Government. On the other hand, you work within the program 'Patrimoniumbeheer en Adviezen', which digitizes processes related to granting advice and permits (A&V), land management (Grondbeheer), and the digital follow-up of expropriations (DUO).

Work is done according to SCRUM methodology, and as an analyst, you act as a proxy for the product owner. You draft user stories with the product owner and work closely with the development team in developing and releasing these stories.

You serve as the first quality control and test the delivered code to ensure it meets the requirements. You are also responsible for managing the backlog and adjusting it as necessary. Together with the program manager, you monitor the development trajectories in terms of planning and budgeting.
