Overview
We are looking for a senior consultant with advanced Dynatrace experience to reinforce the internal team to migrate the monitoring platform from Splunk into Dynatrace. To confirm that decision, our organization will first start Q2 2026 a pilot with the migration of 2 applicative solutions in an End-to-End perspective into Dynatrace. If it is successful, an entire migration from Splunk to Dynatrace is foreseen in the next few years. We look for a hands-on person that has advanced knowledge of monitoring requirements implementations in Dynatrace and is also able to work in Splunk for simple implementation of monitoring needs – in order to help the actual Splunk team.Key Responsibilities
Identification of KPIs to monitor infrastructure components such as:
• Storage systems,• Network components,
• Operating systems (Windows and Linux),
• Virtual infrastructure,
• Servers, Databases, Time servers,
• Certificate infrastructure and Applications.
Implementation of application monitoring based on KPIs delivered by the application teams.
Configuration of the monitoring data’s gathering/retrieving in Dynatrace.
Configure alerts and its associated events (sending mails, execution code, …).
Configure dashboards.
Ready to enhance its Splunk knowledge in order to fulfill our organization’s expectations.
All configurations must be done according to best practices.
The consultant will deliver work in the following areas:
Identification and documentation of monitoring requirements for infrastructure components and applications.
Validation of the future Dynatrace configuration and the monitoring we want to implement and propose eventual improvements to guarantee that our monitoring is aligned with best practices.
Analyze, implement, test and deploy new monitoring requirements in Dynatrace.
Document the changes and maintain the existing documentation.
Implement monitoring requirements in Splunk to support our monitoring team as long as both platforms will coexist.
Analyze, implement, test and deploy new monitoring requirements in Splunk for simple/small requirements.
Skills & Experience
Proven experience in implementation of monitoring requirements with Dynatrace (5 Years, Senior).
Proven experience with configuration, alerting and creation of dashboards in a monitoring tool.
Proven experience with definition & implementation of monitoring requirements with Dynatrace.
Proven experience with monitoring documentation.
Proven experience with Splunk (3 Years, Medior).
Certification related to Dynatrace or Splunk (Should have).
Experience in troubleshooting activities and operational activities in the Dynatrace context (Should have).
Good communication, documentation and interpersonal communication skills (Should have).
Proven experience with ITIL processes (Should have).
Proven experience with Microsoft Azure (Should have).
Proven experience with monitoring of Virtual infrastructure (SDDC, VMware, VRLI and VRNI) and integration of Dynatrace Monitoring with vCenter (Should have).
Languages
Fluent in English (Must have).
Fluent in French or Dutch (Must have).
Fluent in the other national language (Should have).
