Overview
We are looking for an innovation consultant expert with a strong focus on data & AI for the Intelligence & Innovation department within the police zone of Antwerp.Key Responsibilities
The consultant will operate within a team of data excellence specialists and data architects, playing a key role in further developing a modern, data-driven organization within a complex and socially critical context.
Supporting the organization in the transition to a centralized and future-oriented data platform, where the consultant contributes both strategically and tactically to:
• Defining and refining the data and AI strategy and roadmap• Guiding the transition from silo-driven to integrated data architectures
• Rationalizing and modernizing the BI and reporting environment
• Identifying and realizing high-value use cases within intelligence and operational functioning
• Optimizing data flows and data quality across various sources and systems
• Strengthening collaboration between business, IT, and data teams
Skills & Experience
Proven experience as an Innovation Consultant
Higher education (Master's or Bachelor's) or equivalent through experience.
Proven experience in Process Engineering and/or Lean manufacturing and/or Continuous improvement
Proven experience with business processes and project management
Languages
Language requirement: Fluent in Dutch at European CEFR level C2.

The consultant acts as a content expert and strategic sparring partner for both the data excellence team and the data architects, actively contributing to the realization of sustainable value creation through data.
The candidate is expected to have experience in complex organizations, preferably within a public or regulated context, and be able to link innovation to operational impact.
