Presentation/Project
The ANPR program is housed within the Police Information and ICT Directorate (DRI) of the Federal Police. The directorate is responsible for preparing policies and rules for information management and processing, developing the police information concept, establishing technical standards, and implementing information and communication systems.Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) uses intelligent cameras that recognize license plates. The system then compares these scanned license plates with existing data (stolen or reported vehicles, whether they are allowed to drive in certain areas, etc.).
Within the ANPR ecosystem of the Federal Police, several themes have been identified to maximize operational effectiveness; the Traffic pillar is crucial for road safety.
Mission
As a project manager within the ANPR team, you will primarily be responsible for the scoping, planning, execution, and budget tracking of the GDM project (Gatso Device Manager or Speedmanager) within the Traffic workstream. You will also contribute to the development of a clear vision for managing speed cameras/mobile radars within the sensor ecosystem and create buy-in from both internal and external partners. You ensure a good project structure where you closely collaborate with business analysts and critically and constructively approach the information gathered to map all elements and define a plan of action to evolve from AS IS to TO BE.
You coordinate various actions with different stakeholders and facilitate communication, also from a change management perspective, and prepare the necessary communication plans for this.
You do everything possible to respect established timings and budgets so that the GDM project can be completed on time. Where necessary, you adjust the planning and can communicate clearly and transparently about this and provide the necessary reporting. After implementation, you remain available for the hypercare phase.
You integrate into the working method of the project team and contribute to the establishment of procedures and documentation to enable collaboration with the “run” organization within the Federal Police. Where necessary, links are made with other projects and initiatives within Traffic; you can quickly switch between different topics and based on changing priorities.
