Overview

We are looking for a Senior SAP BC Consultant (ABAP & Update Specialist) to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

•Technical SAP BC/ABAP Development:

•Design, develop, and maintain ABAP programs, reports, interfaces, and enhancements in SAP Business Suite (BC modules).

•Troubleshoot and optimize existing ABAP code for performance and compliance.

•Collaborate with functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

•SAP Update & Upgrade Support:

•Participate in SAP system updates, upgrades and patch management.

•Analyze and resolve issues related to updates (e.g., regression testing, OSS notes implementation).

•Ensure compatibility of custom ABAP developments pre- and post-update.

•Archiving – Preferred:

•Implement and maintain SAP archiving solutions to optimize system performance and data retention.

•Configure archiving objects, define retention policies, and manage archiving jobs.

•Support data extraction and retrieval processes for compliance/audits.

•Technical Documentation & Best Practices:

•Document technical specifications, code changes, and update procedures.

•Adhere to SAP development standards and security guidelines.

Skills & Experience:

Qualifications:

•Experience:

•3+ years as an SAP BC/ABAP consultant, with hands-on update/upgrade projects.

•Experience with SAP archiving (SARA) is a strong plus.

•Technical Skills:

•Proficiency in ABAP (OOP, CDS, ALV, BAdIs, User Exits).

•Knowledge of SAP BC modules (e.g., FI, CO, MM, SD) and integration points.

•Familiarity with SAP Basis concepts (e.g., transports, authorizations).

•Soft Skills:

•Problem-solving, analytical thinking, and teamwork.

•Fluent in English; Dutch/French is a plus.

Nice-to-Have:

•SAP S/4HANA migration experience.

•Certification in SAP ABAP or archiving.

Languages:

•Fluent in English; knowledge of French is a plus.
