Overview

As a BPC expert, you have full responsibility for successfully executing assignments in the SAP BPC environment. This includes both project/maintenance assignments and the operational management and maintenance of our SAP BPC environment. You are responsible for the architecture, design, construction, delivery, and operational maintenance of the SAP BPC Planning and Consolidation solutions. Additionally, you serve as the point of contact for the business and provide functional support to business users with a strong focus on planning, consolidation, reporting, and integration between SAP BPC, the BW4 system, and the underlying financial S4 backend system.

For planning applications, SAP is evolving towards SAC planning, and for consolidation towards Group reporting. In the future, we will need to follow these evolutions, and you will play a crucial role as a planning and consolidation expert.

Key Responsibilities

You capture and analyze reporting/planning needs with business representatives.
Based on the reporting/planning needs, you develop the data model in accordance with our organization BI regulations. You make the correct evaluation of what can be provided from the standard business content.
Starting from an analysis, you are responsible for the technical implementation in the SAP BW4/BPC system.
You check the executed work against a predefined test plan.
You ensure that your work fits within our monitoring and alerting setup so that all errors become immediately visible to meet the agreed service levels.
You keep the documentation up to date.
You are responsible for successfully implementing requested changes (Maintenance) and operationally monitoring and maintaining the BPC system.
You are responsible for lifecycle management and updates/upgrades of an existing BW4/BPC environment.
You assist the project group in resolving technical issues.
You assist other solution designers in maintenance and project assignments.
Based on your expertise, you make improvement proposals within the SAP BW4/BPC framework.
You provide guidance to other professionals within the BI team or train business users.
