Context
Within the Directorate of Intelligence & Innovation of the Antwerp Police Zone, the ATLAS team supports the development of a future-oriented data platform and a data-driven operation. The ATLAS team is responsible for the further professionalization of data management, data governance, master data management, and the unlocking of reliable data for analytical and operational applications.Assignment
The consultant will contribute to the further development of the Data Excellence domain and will be responsible for:Designing, developing, and maintaining data integrations and data pipelines.
Supporting Master Data Management initiatives and establishing reliable golden records.
Implementing and optimizing Data Governance processes and tooling.
Setting up, managing, and improving metadata management and technical lineage.
Collaborating with data architects, data stewards, analysts, and business stakeholders.
Translating business needs into scalable and sustainable data solutions.
Advising on data management best practices, data quality, and data architecture.
Supporting the further maturity growth of the organization in terms of data governance and data excellence.
Skills
Proven experience as a Data Engineer
Proven experience with databases
Proven experience with programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala for developing data streams and ETL processes
Proven experience in designing and implementing Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes
Language Requirement
Fluent in Dutch at European CEFR level C2.
What you'll do
- Ontwerpen, ontwikkelen en onderhouden van data-integraties en data pipelines.
- Ondersteunen van Master Data Management-initiatieven en het opzetten van betrouwbare golden records.
- Implementeren en optimaliseren van Data Governance-processen en tooling.
- Opzetten, beheren en verbeteren van metadata management en technische lineage.

- Vertalen van businessnoden naar schaalbare en duurzame data-oplossingen.
- Adviseren rond data management best practices, datakwaliteit en data architectuur.
- Ondersteunen van de verdere maturiteitsgroei van de organisatie op vlak van data governance en data excellence.
