Overview
We are looking for a Senior Developer specialized in GIS systems. The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience in developing GIS systems and will be able to perform programming tasks efficiently, including coding, testing, and debugging.Key Responsibilities
Demonstrable experience in the development of GIS systems.
Demonstrable experience in programming tasks, performing coding, testing, and debugging very smoothly.
Demonstrable knowledge and experience of Agile development methodology, where a leading role can be taken.
Demonstrable experience in geocoding (converting implicit geographic data into explicit images), vector and raster graphics formats, rescaling and manipulating data for various purposes, writing queries for the involved database environment.
Demonstrable knowledge of ITIL.
Skills & Experience
Demonstrable experience in geocoding, vector and raster graphics formats, rescaling and manipulating data for various purposes, writing queries for the involved database environment.
Must have experience with GIS systems development (5 years).
Must have experience with Jupyter notebooks.
Must have experience with QGIS (5 years).
Must have experience with QGIS Atlas.
Must have experience with JavaScript for data manipulation and analysis technologies (e.g., OpenLayers and/or Leaflet, Python).
Language requirement: Dutch at European CEFR level C2.
Should have experience within the Flemish government.
Should have experience in programming tasks, performing coding, testing, and debugging.
Should have experience with Azure.
Should have experience with PostGIS.
Should have experience with project management.
