About the mission

We are looking for a Senior Frontend Developer to join our DevOps team, focusing on developing web and mobile applications for the port community. The role involves maintaining the internal UI framework, coaching developers, and working in an agile environment.

Part of a DevOps team responsible for developing web and mobile applications for the port community and its partners.

Key Responsibilities

Maintenance and expansion of the internal UI framework (e.g., based on Kendo UI)
Management of best fit external libraries in use
Coaching a team of internal and external UI developers
Converting externally provided designs into SCSS with attention to responsive design
Organizing knowledge transfer regarding the use of Capacitor, Angular, TypeScript, and (S)CSS through training and workshops
Developing in an agile team of mobile-first applications based on Angular & Capacitor
Setting up and tuning mobile and web applications
Setting up CI/CD for building mobile apps.

Skills & Experience

Proven experience in developing the applications
Proven experience in leading a development team and coaching developers.
Proven experience in programming tasks: coding, testing, and debugging.
Proven knowledge and experience of Agile development methodology, where a leading role can be taken.

Languages

Language requirement: Fluent in Dutch at European CEFR level C2.

Additional Info

Very thorough knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
Experience with Angular; experience with frontend migration projects, Capacitor, and security by design
Experience with building, signing, and publishing mobile apps, both iOS and Android
Knowledge of Gitlab, Docker, Node.js, TypeScript, SCSS
Knowledge of common HTML and JavaScript UI frameworks such as Kendo UI
Knowledge of Java and Spring is a plus.

What you'll do

  • Onderhoud en uitbouw van het interne UI framework (o.a. op basis van Kendo UI)
  • Beheer van best fit external libraries in gebruik
  • Coaching van een team van interne en externe UI ontwikkelaars
  • Omzetten extern aangeleverde designs naar SCSS met oog voor responsive design
  • Kennisoverdracht organiseren m.b.t. gebruik van Capacitor, Angular, TypeScript en (S)CSS via het geven van trainingen en workshops
  • Ontwikkelen in een agile team van mobile first applications op basis van Angular & Capacitor
  • Setup en tunen van mobiele - en webapplicaties
  • Setup van CI/CD voor het builden van de mobile apps.

What we're looking for

  • Aantoonbare ervaring in ontwikkeling van de gebaseerde toepassingen
  • Aantoonbare ervaring in het leiden van een ontwikkelteam en ontwikkelaars coachen.
  • Aantoonbare ervaring in programmatieopdrachten zeer vlot kunnen uitvoeren: coderen, testen en debuggen.
  • Aantoonbare kennis en ervaring van Agile ontwikkelingsmethodiek, waarbij een leidende rol kan worden opgenomen.
