Our client is seeking a Senior Frontend Developer specialized in Angular to join an agile DevOps team. The role involves developing and managing applications for the Port of Antwerp-Bruges, focusing on enhancing rail freight transport efficiency. Overview

The Port of Antwerp-Bruges and Infrabel are collaborating to double the rail freight transport in the port by 2030 (the current rail share is about 7%). A joint program has been initiated to increase the attractiveness and efficiency of rail transport in the port areas. A crucial part of this program is the development of the digital Rail Platform, which aims to ensure smooth information exchange between all parties involved (Port of Antwerp-Bruges, Infrabel, railway operators, terminals, shippers, and industry).
To better manage and optimize traffic flows within the port areas, an IT project is currently underway to analyze and realize an application that must provide end-to-end transparency over door-to-door freight transport by rail. This will allow trains, wagons, and their cargo to be tracked from departure to arrival by consolidating and visualizing data from various data sources for all stakeholders in the transport chain.

Key Responsibilities

You will be part of an agile DevOps team responsible for developing and managing state-of-the-art applications and components for the port and the port community:
Knowledge of Angular, Typescript, CSS
DevOps mindset
Ability to communicate professionally and clearly in Dutch and English
Ability to function well in multidisciplinary teams
Experience in developing, testing, and rolling out business applications

Skills & Experience

Proven experience in developing based applications
Proven experience with Angular
Proven experience with Figma
Proven experience with HTML5, CSS
Proven experience with TypeScript
Proven experience with UI State and UI State Management
Proven experience in leading a development team and coaching developers.
Proven experience in executing programming tasks smoothly: coding, testing, and debugging.
Proven experience with Agile/Scrum
Proven experience with KendoUI
Proven experience with projects in the domain of railways
Proven experience in testing applications (both manual and automated)
Proven experience with UX principles
Proven experience working within a DevOps team
Proven knowledge and experience of Agile development methodology, with the ability to take a leading role.
Experience working according to Clean code principles

Languages

Language requirement: Dutch at European CEFR level C2.
