We are looking for a Senior GIS Specialist to join our team. The role involves maintaining and improving ESRI Enterprise Systems, monitoring environments, upgrading software, and providing technical support. Candidates should have strong development skills and experience with GIS systems.

Description (English)

Fluvius has made a technological choice in recent years to use ESRI as the foundation for their Geographic Information Systems. The setup, maintenance, and monitoring of that foundation, as well as the building and releasing of GIS applications that use the ESRI software stack, present a constant challenge. A large Product Team (+40) of IT and Business Specialists works full-time on developing a GIS-centric asset management system. In this context, we are looking for GIS specialists with development skills who have experience in maintaining and improving ESRI Enterprise Systems.

Key Responsibilities

•Monitoring the environment

•Upgrading both software and server infrastructure

•Rolling out patches

•Automated releasing of applications

•Preparing and developing technical analyses

•Scripting via PowerShell and Python - or even development via .NET - to support management or execution of standard tasks

•Technical support in solving specific problems resulting from incidents with users in the assigned applications.

Skills & Experience

•Proven experience with Geocortex and/or Vertigis Studio Products

•Proven experience in maintaining and improving existing ESRI Enterprise systems

•Proven experience in developing in .NET

•Proven experience in the development of GIS systems

•Proven experience with web interfaces (SOAP, REST)

•The candidate can demonstrate agility, proactivity, and solution orientation during an interview.

•The candidate can demonstrate strong organizational and communication skills during an interview.

Languages

•Language requirement: Fluent in Dutch at European CEFR level C2.

Additional Info

•Proven experience with releases in an OTAP environment

•Proven experience with web server software IIS

•Proven knowledge and experience with relational databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL, ...)

•Proven knowledge and experience of Agile development methodology.

Additional Information

The telework policy allows for teleworking for external resources. The right to telework is not enforceable, and the frequency will always be determined in consultation with the team leader. Occasional travel to other locations may be necessary. Exceptionally, work outside of office hours may be required for releases.
