Overview

We are looking for an experienced Java Developer for the further development and maintenance of the Flemish Tax Platform (VFP).

Key Responsibilities

•Develop and maintain applications within the Flemish Tax Platform

•Implement changes in response to new regulations or policy decisions

•Optimize existing functionalities and improve stability and performance

•Support tax processes such as Property Tax, Traffic Taxes, and LSB

•Collaborate with analysts, architects, testers, and other developers

•Ensure the quality, safety, and sustainability of the software

•Conduct code reviews and contribute to uniform development standards

Skills & Experience

•Proven experience in developing JAVA-based applications

•Proven education with certification or equivalent experience in programming languages and environments such as Java/J2EE, …

•Proven experience in leading a development team and coaching developers.

•Proven ability to perform programming tasks smoothly: coding, testing, and debugging.

•Proven knowledge and experience of Agile development methodology, where a leading role can be taken.

Languages

•Language requirement: Fluent in Dutch at European CEFR level C2.
