We are looking for a Senior Security Engineer with extensive experience in cybersecurity for a long-term assignment. The role involves strengthening security capabilities, incident response, and threat hunting, with a focus on hands-on execution and proactive improvements.

We are looking for an experienced Security Engineer for a long-term assignment in South West Flanders.

Duration: 6 months +
Start ASAP long-term assignment
1 day of remote work per week.

Assignment

As a Senior Security Engineer, you will be responsible for strengthening and expanding the security capabilities of the organization. You will take a leading role in incident response, threat hunting, and security improvements.

Key Responsibilities

•Detecting, analyzing, and resolving security incidents

•Setting up and executing threat hunting

•Taking ownership of vulnerability management

•Conducting and following up on security assessments and pentests

•Improving monitoring and detection capabilities

•Advising IT teams on security best practices

•Contributing to structural security improvements

Requirements

•At least 5 to 8 years of experience in cybersecurity

•Strong experience with SOC and incident response

•Experience with threat detection and analysis

•Experience with vulnerability management

•Experience with pentesting or security assessments

•Hands-on experience with security tools such as SIEM or EDR

•Scripting knowledge, for example, Python

Languages

•Dutch or French and English

Profile

•Very hands-on and autonomous

•Proactive mindset focused on threat hunting

•Strong communicator to IT teams

Advantages

•Certifications such as OSCP, CISSP, CEH

•Experience in an industrial environment

•Knowledge of cloud security Azure or AWS
