Senior Sharepoint Developer

Overview

Freelance Senior SharePoint Online / Azure Developer for a complex and regulated enterprise landscape. The organization has an extensive M365 and Azure ecosystem and is looking for a highly technical profile to take ownership of architecture, development, and automation.

Key Responsibilities

- Technical Leadership: Act as the technical lead within the SharePoint Online and Azure ecosystem, responsible for code, cloud components, and DevOps processes.
- Core Tasks:
- Deep SharePoint Online hard development:
- SPFx solutions
- Custom extensions
- Integrations with Azure components
- Serve as a technical reference point and quality guardian.
- Take ownership of stability, maintainability, and performance.
- Cloud & Development:
- In-depth knowledge of Azure Functions:
- Design, development, and deployment
- Migration of low-code solutions (e.g., Power Automate, SharePoint workflows) to:
- Custom Azure Functions
- Event-driven cloud solutions
- Development in:
- JavaScript / TypeScript
- C# (.NET)
- CI/CD & Architecture:
- Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines at the infrastructure level:
- Build, test, and release automation
- Infrastructure provisioning
- Work within a mono-repo architecture:
- Structure code
- Ensure quality and reusability
- Collaborate closely with DevOps and cloud teams.
- Governance & Automation:
- Experience with governance within M365 / SharePoint Online.
- Automate governance:
- Policies, standards, controls
- Integrate governance into CI/CD pipelines and development practices.

Skills & Experience

Required Profile

- Technical Must-Haves:
- At least 5 years of experience in a technical leading role.
- SharePoint Online (M365) - no on-premises.
- Azure Functions.
- JavaScript / TypeScript and C# (.NET).
- CI/CD setup at infrastructure level.
- Mono-repo architectures and Git.
- Nice-to-Have:
- Knowledge of Power BI.
- Governance automation experience within M365 / Azure.
- Experience in complex or regulated organizations.
- Soft Skills & Languages:
- Ownership, autonomy, professionalism, and stress resilience.
- Good knowledge of French or Dutch, with passive knowledge of the other language.
- Good knowledge of English.

Additional Info

- Freelance assignment for 12 months.
- Location: Brussels-South, partially remote in consultation with the client.
