We are looking for a freelance Analyst Developer Mainframe for a complex and business-critical IT environment. The focus of this assignment is strongly on functional and technical analysis within a mainframe context, where development plays a supportive role.

The Assignment

As a freelance Analyst Developer Mainframe, you will be responsible for understanding and analyzing complex business processes and translating them into clear functional and technical solutions. You will act as a content link between business and IT and contribute to stable, qualitative, and maintainable applications.

Key Responsibilities

•Conduct thorough functional and technical analyses

•Translate business requirements into:

o functional specifications
o technical designs

•Perform impact and risk analyses on existing mainframe applications

•Analyze incidents and contribute to structural solutions (root cause)

•Develop and adjust applications based on conducted analyses

•Coordinate with business stakeholders and technical teams

•Document analyses, decisions, and solutions

•Contribute ideas for simplification and optimization of existing logic

Technical Context

•Mainframe / z OS

•COBOL

•DB2

•JCL

•CICS (strong plus)

•Batch and online processing

Profile

•Proven experience as an analyst developer in a mainframe environment

•Strong analytical and conceptual skills

•Very good knowledge of COBOL, DB2, and JCL

•Able to structure and document complex matters clearly

•Quality-oriented, precise, and independent

•Fluent communication with both business and IT

•Very good knowledge of Dutch

•Experience in a banking context is a plus
