ETL Specialist – Data Vault
We are looking for an experienced Freelance ETL Specialist to strengthen our existing data team for an organization with an extensive data environment.
You will join a multidisciplinary Agile/Scrum team responsible for the end-to-end development and management of data solutions. The focus is primarily on unlocking and transforming data within an Enterprise Data Warehouse and further processing it into dimensional models and datamarts.
You will work on:
You will work closely with colleagues with various expertise, including functional analysts, developers, and testers.
Experience with all the above technologies is not necessary. A strong ETL/data warehouse background and relevant experience with similar technologies are more important.

Location: Brussels – 1 to 2 days per week in the office, other days remote

Key Responsibilities
As an ETL Specialist, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes.You will work on:
Bringing data into an Enterprise Data Warehouse
Developing and configuring data pipelines
Filling Data Vault and Business Vault according to the Data Vault 2.0 standard
Transforming data into dimensional models
Integrating data into datamarts
Developing physical data models based on logical data models
Developing ETL/ELT processes with various tools
Writing and executing tests
Performing code reviews
Analyzing and resolving bugs
Contributing to releases and deployments
Participating in backlog refinements and sprint planning
Supporting analyses and developing technical solutions

Your Profile
You are an experienced ETL/Data Engineer comfortable in complex data warehouse environments.You have:
At least 5 years of experience in designing and developing ETL/ELT data flows or data pipelines towards dimensional models
At least 3 years of experience in ETL/ELT development within data warehousing and analytics
Strong knowledge of SQL
Experience with ETL/ELT tools
Experience with dimensional modeling
Experience with 3NF
Experience in developing physical data models based on logical data models
Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment
A good oral knowledge of English
