We are looking for a Financial Data Consultant to contribute to the operational activities of our fixed assets team. The role involves financial calculations, reporting, and process improvements, requiring strong analytical and communication skills.

Overview

Contributing to the operational activities of the fixed assets team in the accounting department of our organization:

•Monthly calculation and booking of demolition costs

•Other bookings related to the month-end closing

•Multi-year budget calculations for demolition and depreciation costs

•Calculations of usage fees

•Various reports regarding fixed assets

Key Responsibilities

Implementing controls, making procedures and processes more efficient and simpler:

•Setting up controls for demolition calculations + evaluating the calculation methodology

•Analyzing demolition costs: comparisons between DNBs, between asset classes, age, etc.

•Investigating and documenting the operation of the AMT (Asset Management Tool)

•Aligning values between SAP and AMT

•Updating manuals and providing explanations to colleagues

Skills & Experience

•Proven experience in financial management

•Proven experience with financial reporting

•Proven extensive experience with Excel

•The candidate can convince us during the interview of their communication skills and initiative

•The candidate can convince us during the interview of their analytical skills

•The candidate uploads a document (not the CV) demonstrating their ability to efficiently process and structure large amounts of data

•Higher education (Master or Bachelor) in a financial field or equivalent experience

•Master level in a financial field or another field with basic accounting knowledge

Languages

•Language requirement: fluent in speaking and writing in Dutch

•Regime: Full-time

•Presence in Mechelen on Tuesday and Thursday.

•Our organization's telework policy allows for teleworking for external resources. The right to telework is not enforceable, and the frequency will always be determined in consultation with the team leader of our organization. Occasional travel to other locations may be required.
