We are looking for a Financial Reporting Consultant to join our team and contribute to the operational activities of the fixed assets team in accounting. The role involves reporting, implementing controls, and improving processes while requiring strong analytical and communication skills.

Description (English)

Overview

Contribute to the operational activities of the fixed assets team in the accounting department:

•Reporting on the movements of fixed assets during the year

•Bookings for monthly closing

•Reporting for the regulator and auditor

•Calculations of usage fees

•Various reports related to fixed assets

Key Responsibilities

Implement controls, make procedures and processes more efficient and simpler:

•Set controls in place + evaluate procedures

•Update manuals and provide explanations to colleagues

Skills & Experience

•Demonstrable experience in financial management

•Demonstrable experience with financial reporting

•Extensive experience with Excel

•The candidate can convince us during the interview of their communication skills and initiative

•The candidate can convince us during the interview of their analytical skills

•The candidate uploads a document (not the CV) showing that they can efficiently process and structure large amounts of data

•Higher education (Master's or Bachelor's) in a financial field or equivalent experience

•Master's level in finance or another field with basic knowledge of accounting

Languages

•Language requirement: fluent in Dutch speaking and writing

Additional Info

•Demonstrable experience in the energy sector

•Demonstrable experience with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, …)

•Demonstrable experience with process improvements

•Demonstrable experience with SAP BW

•Language requirement: Dutch at European CEFR level C2.

•Presence in Mechelen on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

•The telework policy allows for teleworking for external resources. The right to telework is not enforceable and the frequency will always be determined in consultation with the team leader. Occasional travel to other locations may be required.
