Overview
We are looking for a Mid Django Developer to work within the Service Management & Operations service cluster and strengthen our Computing Infrastructure team with your expertise. In this role, you will be responsible for managing, supporting, and optimizing Python and Django-based applications within the context of HPC computing infrastructure. You will actively contribute to our IT software development within a mature DevOps approach.Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain codebases within existing Python frameworks, focusing on Django.
Design and implement continuous integration and deployment workflows based on Git, Jenkins, and Selenium.
Model, manage, and maintain database backends with MariaDB.
Set up, manage, and optimize applications within a container-based environment using Docker and Nomad.
Manage and maintain Python environments based on UV.
Develop, maintain, and implement integrations via API platforms.
Skills & Experience
Proven experience in developing applications based on Python and Django (Must have, 3 years, Mid).
Proven experience with containerization platforms such as Docker (Must have).
Proven experience with continuous integration platforms such as Jenkins (Must have).
Proven experience with database management and development for MySQL and/or MariaDB (Must have, 3 years, Mid).
Proven experience with Python (Must have, 3 years, Mid).
Proven experience with testing platforms such as Selenium (Must have).
Experience within the context of Higher Education (Should have, 3 years, Mid).
Experience in programming tasks such as coding, testing, and debugging (Should have).
Experience with front-end development including CSS, HTML, JavaScript (Should have).
Knowledge and experience of Agile development methodology (Should have).
Languages
Dutch at European CEFR level C2 (Must have).
English at European CEFR level C1 (Nice to have).
Additional Info
You will work on challenging projects in the context of HPC in collaboration with international research teams. Given the international character, English is the working language.What you'll do
