About the role

Within the Technology department, we are looking for a Functional Analyst (Expert level) to strengthen our SAP Finance domain during the transition from SAP ECC to S/4HANA. You will play a key role in translating business needs into high-quality functional solutions, ensuring alignment with our IT strategy, architecture standards, and the S/4 transformation roadmap. Acting as the bridge between business stakeholders and development teams, you will also ensure the quality of delivered solutions through structured IT testing and release validation. This role has a direct impact on the modernization of our Finance landscape and on delivering efficient, client-centric financial processes.

Your responsibilities

•Business analysis & solution design

•Analyze business processes in the Finance domain (e.g., GL, AP, AR, Asset Accounting) and identify improvement opportunities.

•Translate business needs into clear functional requirements and specifications for development teams.

•Contribute to the design of end-to-end SAP S/4 solutions aligned with architecture, security, and best practices.

•Ensure solutions are scalable, performant, and future-proof in the context of the S/4 migration.

•Support the transition from ECC to S/4 by helping define target processes and data flows.

•Product co-ownership & stakeholder management

•Act as a key interface between Finance stakeholders and IT teams.

•Co-Manage and prioritize the product backlog based on business value, risks, and dependencies with the business product owner.

•Own and manage the IT backlog for SAP Finance topics, translating business demand into technical deliverables.

•Prioritize requirements based on technical impact, dependencies, and architectural constraints.

•Challenge business requirements and propose optimal solutions balancing standard SAP capabilities and custom developments.

•Act as the single point of contact for IT delivery towards Finance stakeholders.

•Testing & quality assurance

•Define and coordinate technical and functional testing strategies (integration, regression, system testing).

•Validate that solutions comply with functional specifications and technical design documents.

•Support and guide UAT from an IT perspective, ensuring issues are properly analyzed and resolved.

•Ensure end-to-end data consistency and process integrity across SAP modules and integrations.

•Contribute to defect analysis, root cause identification, and resolution with development teams.

•Delivery & coordination

•Collaborate closely with developers, architects, integration teams and external partners.

•Monitor implementation progress from a technical delivery perspective.

•Manage cross-system dependencies, interfaces, and integration points.

•Support release management, transport coordination, and deployment planning.

•Contribute to implementation planning, including scope, effort, and timelines.

•Knowledge & continuous improvement

•Build strong expertise in SAP Finance and S/4HANA capabilities from both functional and technical perspective.

•Stay up to date on SAP innovations and financial industry trends.

•Promote best practices in functional analysis, testing, and DevSecOps.

•Contribute to documentation and knowledge sharing within the team.

•Drive improvements in analysis methods, solution design, and testing practices.

Your profile

•Proven experience as a Functional Analyst and/or Product Owner in SAP environments.

•Solid knowledge of SAP Finance (FI/CO); experience with S/4HANA is a strong asset.

•Good understanding of SAP integrations, data structures, and system flows.

•Experience in business process analysis and requirement translation.

•Hands-on experience with IT testing (integration, UAT, regression).

•Ability to work in complex, transversal environments with multiple stakeholders.

•Strong communication skills and ability to bridge business and IT.
