Overview
We are looking for an experienced Senior ICT Network Engineer for a long-term assignment in Leuven.Key Responsibilities
Design, implement, and maintain:
• Campus, datacenter, and cloud networks• Routing, switching, wireless, and firewalling solutions
Monitor, analyze, and optimize network performance
Troubleshoot complex network issues
Execute lifecycle activities:
• upgrades, migrations, standardization, and technology renewalsCollaborate on infrastructure transformations and new site deployments
Work with security, infrastructure, and project teams
Contribute to:
• network automation• documentation
• disaster recovery
• improvements in processes and security controls
Skills & Experience
Minimum 5 years of experience in enterprise network environments
Strong knowledge of:
• routing & switching• wireless networking
Experience with:
• network monitoring & troubleshooting• performance optimization
Good knowledge of network security:
• segmentation• firewalling
• access control
• zero trust
Technical Knowledge
Experience with cloud networking
Knowledge of core network services:
• DNS, DHCP, IPAM• AAA, NAC
Experience with network automation is a plus
Knowledge of IT/OT networks (Purdue model, IEC 62443) is a plus

Duration: 1 year (+ possible extension)
Location: Leuven (hybrid – 3 days onsite required)
Cisco CCNP Certificate is a plus
Good general knowledge of Cisco products/solutions related to routing & switching and wireless networking
Good knowledge of network security (segmentation, firewall, access control, zero trust, ...)
Willing to work 3 days a week in Leuven
Knowledge of Juniper and Palo Alto is a plus
Minimum 5 years of experience as a network/network security engineer in an enterprise environment.
