Overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior ICT Network Engineer for a long-term assignment in Leuven.

Key Responsibilities

•Design, implement, and maintain:

• Campus, datacenter, and cloud networks
• Routing, switching, wireless, and firewalling solutions

•Monitor, analyze, and optimize network performance

•Troubleshoot complex network issues

•Execute lifecycle activities:

• upgrades, migrations, standardization, and technology renewals

•Collaborate on infrastructure transformations and new site deployments

•Work with security, infrastructure, and project teams

•Contribute to:

• network automation
• documentation
• disaster recovery
• improvements in processes and security controls

Skills & Experience

•Minimum 5 years of experience in enterprise network environments

•Strong knowledge of:

• routing & switching
• wireless networking

•Experience with:

• network monitoring & troubleshooting
• performance optimization

•Good knowledge of network security:

• segmentation
• firewalling
• access control
• zero trust

Technical Knowledge

•Experience with cloud networking

•Knowledge of core network services:

• DNS, DHCP, IPAM
• AAA, NAC

•Experience with network automation is a plus

•Knowledge of IT/OT networks (Purdue model, IEC 62443) is a plus

•Duration: 1 year (+ possible extension)

•Location: Leuven (hybrid – 3 days onsite required)

•Cisco CCNP Certificate is a plus

•Good general knowledge of Cisco products/solutions related to routing & switching and wireless networking

•Good knowledge of network security (segmentation, firewall, access control, zero trust, ...)

•Willing to work 3 days a week in Leuven

•Knowledge of Juniper and Palo Alto is a plus

•Minimum 5 years of experience as a network/network security engineer in an enterprise environment.
