We are looking for a Senior Windows System Administrator with a strong technical background and extensive experience in managing Microsoft technologies. The role involves working in a team to manage databases, support system teams, and ensure thorough knowledge of cloud technologies and server management.

Overview

Higher education (Master or Bachelor) with a technical/engineering background or equivalent through experience with ICT technology for which expertise is required.

Key Responsibilities

•Work in a team for the management of databases and related applications.

•Configuration adjustments and installations according to existing documentation.

•Develop and document configuration adjustments and installations.

•Support for the system team.

•Very thorough knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server management & technologies.

•Very thorough knowledge of Microsoft Cloud technology (Azure, AD connect, Office365, Exchange Online, Sharepoint, ...).

•Thorough knowledge of Powershell (scripting), MS SQL, VMware vSphere.

•Thorough knowledge and professional experience with Windows servers, storage systems, ... is a necessary condition for this assignment.

•Good knowledge of network technology (DNS, TCP/IP, load balancers).

•Knowledge of other technologies is a plus (FibreChannel, SAN/NAS storage, Microsoft Tiering model, Microsoft RDS, iDP, PRTG, Awingu, ...).

Skills & Experience

•Proven experience and ability to work with Microsoft Azure (Entra-ID, Hub-Spoke, Landing zone design, ...).

•Proven experience and ability to work with Powershell scripting.

•Proven experience for the technology in question or a similar technology.

•Thorough knowledge of databases: Microsoft SQL-Server 2019 & 2022 always-on cluster.

•Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory and Windows Server 2019, 2022.

•Thorough knowledge of virtualization: VMWare and VCenter.

Languages

•Language requirement: Dutch at European CEFR level C2.
