We are looking for a practical Software Architect to strengthen our Transport Management Systems (TMS) team. You will bridge the gap between business and technology that supports them every day.
You will join a team that operates at the intersection of technology and daily operations—with a direct impact on thousands of drivers, planning staff, and indirectly on hundreds of thousands of travelers.

Overview
In this role:•you analyze the needs of planners, dispatching, operational teams, and other internal stakeholders;
•you translate those needs into clear functional specifications and improvement proposals for our software applications;
•you understand the current software architecture and actively think about how our systems can become more efficient, modern, and user-friendly;
•you work closely with our suppliers in an international context, where English is the working language;
•you challenge the solutions of suppliers and ensure quality and feasibility with our internal colleagues;
•you provide clear documentation and present your proposals convincingly to our internal architecture board (Sparx).
You will join a team that operates at the intersection of technology and daily operations—with a direct impact on thousands of drivers, planning staff, and indirectly on hundreds of thousands of travelers.
You will contribute to software for:
•planning vehicle tasks and personnel tasks (medium and short term) for the full range of services;
•depot management and planning of electric vehicles (DMS/CMS);
•personnel planning in accordance with collective labor agreements (drivers & other staff);
•monitoring and processing of daily operations;
•integrations within the IT landscape.
Skills & Experience
Proven experience as a specialist architect in a specific domain (networking, security, server infrastructure, application architecture, ERP, ECM platforms, Data Warehouse and BI, ...) or Enterprise Architect.Must have
•3 Years medior
•Proven experience with broad knowledge of ICT systems and applications including preferably Citrix, container-based architecture (OpenShift, Kubernetes, Docker), RDBMS (Oracle, Postgres), ETL, API, ...
•5 Years medior
•Proven experience in autonomously determining solutions for new applications and technology shifts such as containerization.
•5 Years medior
•Proven knowledge and experience of modeling techniques (Archimate, Togaf, UML, Sparx EA)
Should have
•Proven experience in the public transport sector
•Proven experience with application architecture in the field of planning & scheduling, complex optimization algorithms (e.g., XBOOST), transport management systems
•5 Years medior
•Proven experience with performance and integration testing, both real-time and batch.
•Proven experience with planning software within a logistics environment
•Proven experience with planning software within public transport (e.g., Hastus, IVU, Peak Mobility, Trapeze ...)
•Proven experience with transformation to containers and open databases such as PostgreSQL
•Proven knowledge and experience of business processes in general
•Proven knowledge and experience of the various Project Management facets (costs, timing, coordination, planning, estimates)
•Proven knowledge of all domains plus proven specialist architect in at least 1 specialist domain (infrastructure, application, security, data, process…)
•Proven experience with Agile project work (SCRUM), tracked within Jira
Nice to have
•Proven experience with Dynamics and Graphana
•Proven experience with networking, security, server infrastructure is not required.
Languages
